Every July we settle in for 3 weeks of guaranteed early morning entertainment: the Tour de France. It was only fitting to introduce Axel to this beloved event, firstly because he's usually up when it starts in the wee hours of the morning and secondly because he shares his name with cycling superstar Axel Merckx.
I think he likes it.

what are the A-man's feelings about the rampant use of performance-enhancing drugs in pro sports like Le Tour? Does he feel - as Lucy does - that that race is simply so inhuman that one needs PEDs?
Well I was there. Penultimate stage in Nyons. What a rush. I promise to take A to Le Tour when he's ready. The side benefit is that we will introduce him to the other joys of La Belle France.. le vin, les restaurants.. les belles filles
